I used to rebuild the carbs on older Honda 40’s I had on a 16’ skiff in Hawaii a long time ago…boy was I happy to replace them with newer fuel injection motors…my biggest problem
was getting water into the fuel line…make sure to get all of the old fuel out of your tank and line before reattaching your fuel line to the engine
