It’s Tuesday…life is pretty silly ‘til it isn’t.I'm in the "was not staged" camp. Pretty silly Monday morning quarterbacking going on. None of it even close to conclusive.

Celebrities being roasted at these award shows is nothing new. It goes with the territory. I think we can agree to disagree and move on.Thats your opinion, and I respect it. However, do you feel that being a Comedian gives you a pass to speak however want? To put it in context, this was not a Chris Rock show that Mr. Smith was attending that would be different. This was a social gathering among other peers. Whoever you want to place blame or throw in handcuffs is all up to you. I feel that any person man or woman should always have the moral obligation and right to defend oneself and most importantly to defend others that cannot defend themselves.![]()
Roasts are perfectly fine and I do it often to my friends. For "some" the line between a comedic roast and a below the belt "dig" is hard to see for some. Thats when another person has a prime opportunity to help "correcting" this behavior with an open hand slap. Notice will Smith was at least in sound mind enough to not throw a full closed fist assault too. He was able to walk up say to himself hmm open slap or level this dude. Nah, fist would be too much. Why couldn't this "comedian" have practiced similar restraints with his mouth?Celebrities being roasted at these award shows is nothing new. It goes with the territory. I almost added that I wished I hadn't heard of this incident or most of the things that happen in the world.Rob yours and my opinions don’t count for anything and for not giving a damn as i said I gave an opinion…I wish i had not looked at this thread.
It's a good goddamn thing that Don Rickles wasn't hosting!
Thought of Rickles but such was expected from Don and context is everything. It's a good goddamn thing that Don Rickles wasn't hosting!
Yeah had enough trouble at a mariners gameA few of you guys would lose your minds at a NHL game.
I agree with the slapping Chris Rock part!I'm down with the totally staged. The kicker for me is Will Smith's face as he walked away; looks like he's trying to stifle a laugh, not upset or angry. And Chris obviously staged for the slap and if you have seen enough pro wrestling you can spot it a mile away.
As for my own point of view, I like Chris Rock as a comedian, but he does have a grating, irritating tone to his voice that makes me want to slap him every time I see him![]()
That would be "pro wrastlin" not Wrestling. There is no slapping allowed in the real sport of Collegiate, Freestyle, or Greco Roman amateur Wrestling. Pro Wrastlers are, indeed actors who follow a script that sometimes include slapping.Looked staged to me.
Chris Rock stuck his face forward for the wrestling type slap in the face.
Lots of publicity for The Oscars which had been languishing for multiple years.
After all, they are actors!
