OFFICIAL 2026 NFL SEASON DISCUSSION

You guys have fun. I'll come back next year maybe. Trash talk isn't my thing. I am fine talking about how my team lost and deserved to lose. This has never been a fun place to do that.

Next year have a trash talking NFL thread and a separate official NFL thread?

This is the only thread from which I have ignored certain posters, and it has made it much more enjoyable. Shit talking can be fun when its at the right time and in the right tone. Done poorly it is just trashy....

Very powerful win by the bears, maybe the most powerful ...

At 4 and 4, division is likely not in the cards, however, the raining schedule is pretty soft (Cardinals, Boys, Giants, Raiders, etc), also play the Rams twice, so wildcard is not out of reach

Go Chiefs

yep, Seattle's schedule definitely lightens up. So does Denver's thankfully.

Darnold doesn't do well when he's flushed. Good defenses know that and are not worried he'll rip off a 62 yd TD run at 19.9 mph so they basically take the QB shadow guy and put him in coverage or blitz him. Gonna need to design plays to combat that.

Darnold has happy feet. The line is not nearly as bad as Chickenhawk fans would have you believe. He tends to flee the pocket to soon left or right rather than step up and make a throw. He also locks in on to JSN and has a hard time going anywhere else. It was the same in Minnesota with Jefferson. Getting through his progressions before panicking is difficult for him.
Running the ball in the fourth quarter was a direct result of the OC not having confidence in Darnold to be able to throw the ball without the aid of play action to slow the rush. He is still the guy who saw ghosts in New York. You can't expect him to be the gunslinger and get you back in the game. He really needs to be in the lead to be effective.
The Bears are good. They play well on both sides of the ball. Their QB has learned to get rid of the ball quickly. When he doesn't, he is super athletic and still does not turn it over when he is running around. They run the ball well with powerful backs that are tough to tackle. Burden III is a load after the catch and really is a great fit withthe quick game stuff that they run. They are a very good team.
