Just when you thought MLB would run out of obscure statistics to report it was just pointed out that this is the very first time a team has scored 7 runs without having put a runner in scoring position. Gotta wonder what computer program came up with that factoid. Hats off to the back room guys.

Great pitching performance, second combined for Javier this season, also a first. Love how Smoltz wouldn't mention it until after it was over - true baseball guy!!
