NFR NFL 2023 Season

Non-fishing related
well, Kirk Cousins winning in prime time is definitely a story....

I must be the only person watching MNF... or everyone else is slack-jawed like me wondering what they're seeing. Still plenty of time, but I never figured on the Vikings putting up 22 and leading for 3+ quarters.
Oh I'm lovin it. Still too close for me to relax though.

If not for the Seahawks' offensive debacle last week against the Bengals...

They need to stop turning over the ball and score once in the red zone!

AS bad as my 2023 AFC East prognostications have been, My Beloved Patsies are 2-1 in the division. The only loss was to the Dolphins by 7 in week one.

They are 0-4 vs. everyone else. So that part is not really good at all.

Patsies vs. Dolphins next week. Can my beloved Patsies claw their way back into relevance?
I wouldn't put it passed Belichick.

NFL teams are getting pressure on Purdy and game planning Shanny much better. 9ers look super vulnerable. Nice game for Cousins and O'Connell.

That dude is a reception machine...he is always open, hard to stop after the catch, and Swift...
The Daily Blast gossip panel attempted to put forth the proposition that since he started dating her, his game has gotten better. Wait a minute, should this be in the Humour thread?😑
All I can say is now I can't watch K.C. home games because of all that B.S.

Don't blame the Chiefs for that, that's media BS - it's OK to still cheer for the best team in football!!!

Go Chiefs!!!

Appeared on Purdy's last interception the receiver didn't run the called route.
The defensive coach Wilks appears over his head, seems unable to make the mid-game adjustments that Demeco Ryans and Robert Saleh were known for, which got them both head coaching jobs. Most concerning, in both their losses Niners have been plain man-handled on both sides of the ball.
Imagine Shanahan will be having a few things to say in today's coaches meeting.

Be interesting to see if these are just "bad games" or if the wheels are already comin off. That roster is just plain stacked, so I can't see how they'd regress that much long term.

Back to the Hawks:

1. If they don't get Abe Lucas back on the OL, it's gonna be a long, dicey season for Geno's pocket. That guy is pretty crucial to Geno's success from my observations. His backups just haven't been able to pass block at even close to the same level and Geno isn't able to comfortably do what he does best.

2. Losing Nwosu off the DL is going to sting. Hopefully Jerrick Reed can having a "coming out" party and show he can be the next man up.

3. Red Zone play calling has been ass. They don't seem to be adjusting for how weak the protection is on the O-Line when the opposing D is backed up at the goal line. They keep calling long, developing routes, then try running it in to the pile up the middle. No matter how many times neither of those things work, they keep doing it instead of trying some quick plays. One part of the Pete Carroll Way I've never understood is the lack of adjustments for the personnel on the field. Just sticks to his way whether it's working or not. But things are working VERY well between the red zones. They're marching the ball down as well as this team ever has.

4. Bobo

Purdy looked like Goff circa 2019-20, or Stafford/Wilson 2022.l0p0
