NFR NFL - 2022

Non-fishing related
Wagner will be a LA RAM for one or two seasons for much less than $10 million per year (contract details coming soon). The Seahawks were paying him way more. Ernest Jones is another RAM inside linebacker who is playing well on a rookie contract. It looks like the RAMS will draft one or two edge rushers in April.
10 million??? The dude is like 40 years old. Overpaid.

More importantly, has Jamal Adams been reconstructed yet?

oh, you mean into someone who can cover the slowest TEs in the league?

I’ve rooted for the Hawks since 92’ and there have been some terrible years, but this offseason is the least hopeful I can remember ever being before a season begins. Looks like the team is just lining up to be in the running for high draft picks for a long time.

They aren’t going to find another decent QB anytime soon which means this team is going to be pretty terrible for awhile.

I read that he was jogging down the Highway when he got hit. A fully loaded dump truck will make a mess when it hits people.

Interesting read about the old World Football League

I hope the XFL becomes the minor league of the NFL to help college football get back to some closer to what it was.

It won't happen though for either the XFL or USFL when the average salary for 10 games is going to be $45-$55K for 10 games.
College NIL deals for star players make that look like chump change.

Pete has lost his mind

What a fleecing.

Call the cops!

Just an FYI.
If you’d prefer watch lousy football rather then lousy baseball, there is a USFL game on Fox right now.
Ex Seahawk Alex McGough is the starting QB for the Birmingham Stallions. ;)

how was it? I was hoping to catch a little bit of that....

honestly, I'm really intrigued by the fan directed football.

Actually not bad.
I watched the whole game. Came down to the last drive and Birmingham punched it in for the win.
Lots of folks mic’d up, both players and coaches and known broadcasters and sideline folks. Some guys that had played in the NFL on the field. I’d watch it again versus watching baseball.
Ex Oregon State Beaver HC Mike Riley took the loss for NJ.
Three games tomorrow I believe.

Tried watching yesterday but couldn't get Fox to come in on my HD antenna, which always comes in fine for my NFL games. Not sure what was up.

I really enjoyed the abbreviated XFL season in 2020 and look forward to its return. I think it'll be a better product than the USFL when it comes back, but I look forward to checking out a few games with the USFL when I can.

I really like the idea of the mic'd players/coaches plus all of the interesting camera angles. I'm going to try to catch parts of the games today.

whoa, just saw the above post by Dimebright...Geno! Geno! Geno! speaking of guys who should be playing in either the XFL or USFL...

I saw the post letting us know the game was on, and watched on and off as we were enjoying the Dr. Who marathon. Like @Stonedfish said, not a bad game. My wife noted I was slow with the remote to switch back as the game went on.

Didn’t watch the other two games today which were close, but there is a game coming on at 6:00 on FS1 if you need to burn off some Easter ham. ;)
SF

Edit….game postponed due to weather.
