I must admit I had little confidence in Geno pre season. I thought I knew who he was but I was dead wrong, the dude can spin the ball.

The fighting chickenhawks must feel good about themselves. Their defense is playing over their talent level. That is a tribute to Pete. He is making his players play faster than their 40 times.

They do have some speed, playing free and easy!

So tonight we have a couple of pointers kicking. I just don't get why these kickers step straight back from the spot where the ball will be, then swing their arm up to point at the goal posts, then take two giant steps off to the side. If the guy doesn't know where the fucking goal posts are unless he points at them then maybe he's in the wrong profession.

Wife and I have great fun imagining what they could be saying.
"Okay...kick it that-a-way."
"Yep...they're still there!"
"Oh! Nooow I see them."
"Hey. Look at that babe in row 17!"

His evolution from being uncomfortable saying "number 2" around her, to her saying poop to him and then saying "Im not going to take a shit on the sidelines" is subtle, but hilarious.

You have to wonder how many "Geno Smiths" are currently holding clipboards. OK, maybe none at Geno's level, but teams are very reluctant to admit mistakes and move on from their franchise QB's. Beyond the stats, which are pretty solid, GMII is a proven playmaker. He has an 'it' factor, but may never get the opportunity to show it again as a starting QB. There are far worse QB's starting elsewhere in the league.
