Not taking the points early by kicking the field goal early rather then going for it on 4th down could have been huge.
It turned out not to be, but Carroll still should have taken the points there.
As far as the $250 million dollar man goes, I’m sure he’s extremely happy that his coach had a ton of faith in him on 4th and 5….so he decides to kick a 60+ yard field goal.
That has to grind on Wilson, especially with that decision being made in his return to Seattle against the Hawks.
I can almost guarantee sometime in the future, we’ll hear how unhappy Wilson’s camp was with that decision. Maybe when Hackett gets fired in a few years.
