The NFL gets 4.4 billion in tv ad revenue this year, so commercials are not going away.

What will be going away is over the air and cable TV...it wont be all that long before most all media is a subscription based streaming model.

Too bad the Bolts lost, they played well enough to win but that pick 6 hurt them of course.
:(

I already have Prime as a steaming channel on tv…and while my feed was seamless, I don’t think I’m a big fan of watching NFL on it.

Heading to Sun City tomorrow to see if my Raiders get a win over the Cardinals…

Prime NFL doesn't bother me, but all our media is streaming at this point.
Music and TV are both subscription based platforms. We use Fubo for TV during football season and cancel after the Super Bowl, as we are not big TV watchers, so pretty much watch a few games a week, and sometimes a documentary or two if time.
Listen to way more music each week than TV, so happy with that subscription and keep it all year.

Cardinals look like a bad team led by a petulant whiner so yeah, Raiders should be able to pull that one out.

Of course not. And to add to the bullshit I lost audio for the last 10 minutes of the game so I didn't hear any of the commentary either, maybe not a big loss, but this Amazon Prime is prime bullshit in my opinion and will not watch it again. Herbert had a good game until the pick six but hung in there while he was obviously hurt. Going fishing next Thursday so screw Amazon.
While you are young do go fishing.(y) It's when you make it to my age and the brain is willing but the body isn't is what sucks. (n)

Wish I could stream. Living in the 'burbs' and only can use DSL @ 10mb max. Usual speed is less than 5mb because so many of my neighbors are using the same line. Ran some latency tests recently and the signal is bad 30 % of the time.

That sucks for streaming...
We are out in the sticks so far we have to have our sunshine pumped in and do better than that...way better.
I didn't know DSL in the burbs was that bad.

The good side of it is look at how much money I am saving not paying for all those streaming services/channels.
Can't use Starlink - too many 100' trees. The good side if it - a beautiful property with lots of shade.

I see your point for sure.

We are in a spot where streaming is the only option, no cell, no cable, dish and other similar setups are worthless due to winds and trees.

Upside is similar to yours, but a long ways (45 min) to anywhere of note.
Since the powerlines were put in things have really improved though...

I hear you loud and clear Old Man. In two weeks I plan to wade in the D to celebrate my 81st year. I happen to know a place where the wading is easy which makes me lucky in more ways than one. I'm gonna get in as much river as I can while I can which I doubt will be much longer. I have a pontoon boat and some nearby lakes which will be my future as long as I can do that. Hope you get more chances to get out there.

Brah…that’s giving menehunes a bad name…
It's Cleveland...
The mistake by the lake.

Called the Browns, but their uniforms are mostly orange.

For teams starting out the season 0-2, not many make the playoffs so must win game for the NFC West cellar dwellers the Rams, who got blown out week 1 with their offense producing 3 int and a whopping 52 yards rushing.
Goes without saying the Cards suck, and the as usual injured forty whiners can be counted on to start the wrong qb and take a second loss today.

:)
