At 70 it's now the least expensive fishing license I've ever purchased....which is the sole advantage of being 70.
Rest assured that every year I'll crow about it just as Old Man does about Montana's low license fees. It's about all we have to crow about.![]()
If I make the move to Florida, I will crow about not having to pay for a fishing license for fresh or salt water once I hit age 65At 70 it's now the least expensive fishing license I've ever purchased....which is the sole advantage of being 70.

Thanks. I just renewed mine online the other day. Probably won't arrive until after the 1st. So I'm going fishing or Oregon again, where the license is on the calendar year.
Yeah, this is true (in theory). From the WDFW website:Interesting. IIRC buying online allows you the option to print out a temporary license until the official license comes through the mail.
When buying online or by phone, it may take up to 10 days to receive your license in the mail. If your WILD ID has an email address associated with it, you will be emailed a temporary license to use for that 10-day period.
Similar to my Ohio all-inclusive at a fraction of WA license, so cheap I bought a 3yr.At 70 it's now the least expensive fishing license I've ever purchased....which is the sole advantage of being 70.

I did print out the temporary license, but there is no temporary punch card. So technically, even though I would be CNR steelhead fishing, I'm not supposed to be doing that without a valid punch card, even when it is illegal to retain steelhead.Interesting.
