My last one

I have some really good success with this fly on certain rivers in the pnw, it was a gold medal winner in Alaska, but then what fly is not? 😜 . I do not recall where I bought it or the name of it? Bought a half dozen in early 2000’s but all of it’s a bit fuzzy now. Thought it had maybe bumble bee in name or something like that trying to recall ???? I’ve looked around a bit via web but no go. This is my last one. Any idea?
Thanks.IMG_5056.jpeg

Other than the body material that's a pretty easy recipe to pick out. Barred police marabou-yellow marabou-crystal flash tail, small chartreuse guinea fowl for the hackle.
I don’t do flies. Tried it > don’t have patience for it. I know I can hand it over to a fly tier but sure would like to know the name. But I get it. Thanks.

Now a memory just popped up. Fly shop> Bellevue area> Kaufman’s ?? That’s where I think I got it.

I'd say a slight variation of this.

Looks like how I tie most of my beadhead buggers these days, but I use ice dub instead of chenille for the bodies. Any way you tie it, the Woolly Bugger is a proven catcher. You can find something that looks like that pretty easy, but without tying your own, it may be hard to match that color combo.

I probably tie more WBs than any other pattern. That one would be fairly easy if you knew the ingredients. But if you don't tie flies, it may be a problem finding a shop that sells that particular pattern. It doesn't look like something that is universal.

It looks a little bit like Bragg"s Dragonfly Nymph tied by Davie McPhail . He didn't add the bead though .
