Montana Alternatives?

Thanks for the nice information. We will decide Friday night and for 14 of the last 16 years we have gone to MT. Once we went to Fernie and once the Yakima. Someplace new would be great but we always look forward to MT and hope to make that happen again this summer.
Mountain water is still cold. I had to cross a couple tribs in the St. Joe drainage last weekend. I wasn't fishing but that water was still quite cold!
 
I agree with Dave. The Missouri below Holter Dam (constant water temps for 50 miles) or the Kootenay River by Libby it too is below a dam.
 
We all understand the Hoot Owl limitations. The OP was also concerned about high temps since he had heat stroke previously and wants to avoid getting it again.
 
Yeah, the Green in the A/B below Flaning Gorge has no hoot owl. Not do any of the streams coming out of the Uintas. You can kill a week very easily in those freestones and catch all the cutts you want coming off the south slip Unitas on public land.
