Marblemount to Rockport

Looking to overnight at Howard Miller this week, can anyone tell me how long of a float it is from the marblemount launch down to Howard Miller? Anything terribly sketchy about it?

Thanks much!

It’s been a few since I’ve done it, but I think if you float straight through it’s no more than 2.5 maybe 3 hours if you tried to go slowly without actually stopping, and the sketchiest thing I recall is some funky swirly/boily hydraulics where the Cascade comes in, just don’t be caught completely asleep.
Hopefully someone with more recent firsthand experience chimes in.

The only sketchy areas are Big Eddy and Little Eddy. They have some serious hydraulics. The first one you ride the linear flow slick between the giant swirls, don’t row too much just keep the boat pointed downstream. The next one is Big Eddy and you come down a long run pretty fast that spears a cliff face so keep rowing to slow and keep the boat pointed at the cliff face and pivot with the flow after you lose your momentum.

Don’t be scared! These areas are probably fine right now but on occasion they can be a little sketchy with the right flow.

Marblemount to Rockport float = ~ 10 miles. Depending on flow, floating straight through can be about 3 hours, but I've never done it that fast. Piece of cake as river floats go. The eddies mentioned above are unnerving if they catch you by surprise, but if you pay attention, as you should, you won't be surprised.
