Last year I got to upgrade from this old jewel. It was a gift from my wife's Great Grandma, which I joked was my dowry. I thought about putting in the time doing repairs, but it just wasn't the family boat I was needing.
I now am running this, and it's the best family boat I could ask for. Already some crazy memories created, and its my sons favorite thing.
Also got a canoe that's at my parent's. And I want to add a small two-person raft like I have seen posted here, but I got to get a new house first.

I started out in the 1980’s buying a donut shaped float tube, and later discovered it was easier getting in and out of one of those U shaped float tubes so I bought myself a Bucks Bronco float tube. It was just wonderful. But I sold it.
About 1990, I heard about a new pontoon that had come onto the market. They were called Kingfishers, made in Sandpoint, ID. (Later moved to Port Townsend, WA and changed the name to River King). There wasn’t much if anything like them on the market at that time. They were wonderful, if not overbuilt, boats. I even took mine down through Yankee Jim Canyon on the Yellowstone. But, I sold it.
My next boat was a Clackacraft LP that I picked up at Clackacraft in Idaho Falls. It handled Montana’s winds and rivers with ease. It, too, was a wonderful boat. But, you guessed it…I sold it.
But…not before buying a Hyde. One of the prettiest, and best appointed drift boats on the river, IMO. And also one of the most difficult boats to handle. 9 1/2’ oars weren’t enough to keep it on a line, and a 35# anchor wouldn’t stop it (even in slow moving water). So, you guessed it…I SOLD IT!
I couldn’t have been happier to get back into a Clackacraft. This time it was an Eddy 360, which I also picked up in Idaho Falls. (This wasn’t my boat, but mine looked similar to it.)
I also bought an Outcast Ferrari Series 1000 Pontoon, so I was all set. Until 3 years ago when my truck started a fire. And everything burned. My Clackacraft and Outcast are under there…someplace.
Now, all that I have is some open space in my garage to put a boat, if I get one.
But everything is peaceful and calm right now... I’ve got still got lots of memories of those boats, fishing, and friends from the past.

My friend bought your raft a few years ago and it’s the reason I’m into fly fishing. Floating the yak has been a game changer.

It was one of those situations where i liked the boat more in concept than i did when i actually got it on the water.

Yep, love it. I mostly use it on stillwaters, because if you hit anything on a stream they will hear you a mile away. But it is super comfortable, easy to row in still or moving. This is a 13' RMT, and if I did it again I would probably get the 14', but really love it.
