Dunno, I’m ignorant, I think more chiro based on everything else re their look and crane fly are terrestrial bugs so the emergers wouldn’t be in the lake but who knows, those legs…I wonder if these are crane fly pupae?

Yes, a cool photo, Dave. I agree with TP. Looks to me that the legs are attached to adults with freshly unfurled, wispy wings.Cool! Looks to be a mix of stages in the photos. The legs make me think chironomid emergers and adults. I see plenty of pupae as well.
