IP 28 Oregon

I want it to pass. I'm already preparing underground meat smuggling routes accessible to only the most rugged off-road capable vehicles.

Great SciFi novel plot. "Meat Runner 2035". Dulph Knox is the anti-hero smuggler of flesh products into a forbidden zone known as Orygun. He faces cyber ticks and AI robots armed with meat sensing missiles and kill orders from a clan of dictatorial hermaphroditic organic farmers lead by Alpha Gal. Will Dulph deliver his tripe to the resistance or will he be processed into bone meal to nourish the Orygun rose gardens?

It’s a reminder that there are some….and not an insignificant amount, of people in this world who think this way. Their lives are not lived in reality. They have live a pampered, sheltered life, where they have zero understanding of what it’s like to live a life where you “break a few eggs to make an omelette”….if you know what I mean.

The only concern I have, and it’s one I’ve had for my whole life, is I live in a state run by people who I mostly don’t line up with politically, or otherwise. And I don’t want to go political here. I do think the majority of folks on both sides of the aisle, if you will, think this petition is poppycock. That said, I’m not moving to downtown Portland any time soon….

I don't think those in favor of the insanity would have done well during the pioneer days. Unless the Oregon Trail was lined with fruits and vegetables.

I live in the Portland area and I can assure you that the caricature painted of the average Portlander is not accurate. I think most would be shocked at how one sided a vote on this would be even in Portland.

it's 2.8% of the population of oregon that signed. granted, "insignificant" does depend on what's being measured, and who is measuring it. our president won the popular vote by about 1.5%, and many are saying that was a landslide.

I know more than a few vegans and by far, they're way more self sufficient than the folks at Costco and Wal Mart...by miles.
🙂

first world problem for the bubble wrapped self-entitled.
as to vegans, daughter has been one for almost 40 years, and that fiercely independent, tofu powered ultra fit gal will likely kick your ass in a vert climb MTB race or 10 mile run every time.

Tom Brady did OK being vegan, too.

We need a law that bans consumption of fruits and vegetables by humans because they are critical forage for wild animals that are powerless poor little creatures that are suffering from our unethical use of their food.

Being vegan, and trying to pass this kind of legislation….not remotely in the same ballpark. I would hope most vegans would not agree with what is being proposed. The vegans I know are choosing to eat like that more for perceived health benefits. Live your best life. Don’t try to shove it down everyone else’s throats….literally.

Also, I do not associate with anyone who’s into PETA…..just doesn’t seem like my kinda peeps
