what you mean exactly?I like it so far. Could a person customize searches for categories of their choosing via checkboxes?
Instead of typing “bull trout” in the search box, or having to use the categories you’ve provided to browse by, could we have a dropdown where we could search or browse by multiple categories, like multiple species and/or styles?what you mean exactly?
Maaaaaaaaaybe. We kinda do that already with custom feeds, but on the browse page it may change how the whole browse feature works. I'd have to do some thinking on how to pull that off.Instead of typing “bull trout” in the search box, or having to use the categories you’ve provided to browse by, could we have a dropdown where we could search or browse by multiple categories, like multiple species and/or styles?
Could be useful once there’s a lot more flies, Not sure if every species being an option including all the user-created ones along with other categories could get to be an overwhelming number of options.
Custom feeds? Assuming you don’t mean a bespoke mix of poached wild salmon and chicken for your sled dogs, what you mean?Maaaaaaaaaybe. On the left menu bar - you can filter the feed by any attribute. It's a set and leave it kind of thing that persists until you change it.Custom feeds? Assuming you don’t mean a bespoke mix of poached wild salmon and chicken for your sled dogs, what you mean?
To me, that new ability is such a key functionality once there’s a eff ton o’ entries. Rad!On the left menu bar - you can filter the feed by any attribute. It's a set and leave it kind of thing that persists until you change it.
I transferred the same filtering over to the new browse feature - should work the way you had in mind.
I hope we run into the "oh no there's too many flies!" problemTo me, that new ability is such a key functionality once there’s a eff ton o’ entries. Rad!
For my feed, for now, I just wanna see everything people are submitting.
Yeah and at that point we can filter it! Or if I’m searching for flies for certain species to inspire me, I’ll have that ability. Very good.I hope we run into the "oh no there's too many flies!" problem
Now to come up with a plan for getting more tyers on boardYeah and at that point we can filter it! Or if I’m searching for flies for certain species to inspire me, I’ll have that ability. Very good.
If I were a better and more prolific tyer I’d be submitting entries but I look to many others on here for inspiration. Now to come up with a plan for getting more tyers on board![]()
Doesn't have to be innovative or fancy. I think we could use some more blue collar "it catches fish, not people" flies. If I were a better and more prolific tyer I’d be submitting entries but I look to many others on here for inspiration.
ok, I gotta explore that site a little more....especially since there are a good number of patterns up to really test stuff like that.On the left menu bar - you can filter the feed by any attribute. It's a set and leave it kind of thing that persists until you change it.

trust me, that doesn't stop me! prolific? I guess. talented? I'm kinda a one trick pony.If I were a better and more prolific tyer I’d be submitting entries but I look to many others on here for inspiration.
Yeah it's a database issue I've been trying to sort. Some of those things are more difficult to solve than they seem on the surface. I'll get back on that soon though.can anything not related in the thread pull down be eliminated?
there are other material categories that contain materials that are not related
foam is not related to weight in the weight category etc
