Introducing MyFlyVise.com - BETA Phase

Yeah, I don't see a fly tying set up.
I code fly tying websites. Not so much on the fly tying.

I'm good with fixing things, building things, coding things, etc. Arts and crafts, not so much. Last time I tried tying flies I threw the vise across the room after my thread broke. I stick to letting other people tie for me now 😆 not that I'd have even a moment of time for another hobby even if I did enjoy it.

That monitor workstation setup is representative of my day-to-day life. Work multiple jobs, have multiple time-consuming hobbies... somehow thread the needle to make them all work.

I don't get a lot of downtime. Or any for that matter.

Busy past few days. Did I miss something? The MyFlyVise icon button is not clickable any longer in the post reply box...

Hrmm, I just did a test and working for me. You might have the "BB Code" toggle on. see the square brackets next to the disk on the toolbar near the fly icon? click that. After you do, try the fly button again.

Just now, I tried clicking link in the original post in this thread above, and it acted like a broken link. But navigating to the MFV website worked fine.

Edit: I clicked the link in the original post in the other MFV thread:

Not entirely sure I follow - which link didn't work? I clicked all the ones I could find and they worked.

can you add "gills" & "breathers" to materials?

Per our previous discussion, thanks for adding the Sub Types under Fly Types. How ever when creating a custom feed based on Fly Type you are restricted to the top-level types. If I wanted to search for just Stone Fly Nymphs, all I can select is Nymph and thus get every entry tagged "Nymph". Kinda defeats the purpose of having the sub types. They should be included in the custom feed fly type selection.

Yeah it's on the list - adding that level of refinement on the custom feed is quite a task so it's a work in progress but coming.

This link ("Hop in:") didn't and still doesn't work on my android phone:

When I click it, I get this:

I think I got this sorted finally. Try it out and see how it does.

Exactly like I envisioned it. Thanks. It will really pay dividends when there are 100s of entries
