Wonderful place.
Shot this bull about 25 miles in.
No sooner got to it, a white out occurred, and stayed that way until way after dark.
Thank god I could hit the top of a ridge, follow it up to a tight saddle/landmark, pass through, and drop into our horse camp a 1/4 mile below.
Long before gps goodies and it would have been a real long, wet, perhaps painful night out.
The gun?
Husqvarna 7mm Mauser that my grandpa left me.
Kicked like a mule but from what I can tell none of the elk liked it either.
