Not long into my first ride I was reminded how much the northeast wind can suck and I pretty much felt like Robert Redford in An Unfinished Life….minus the flag
So then I turn off on what’s left of a county road that eventually turned to rutted mud.
Along the way I pass a young bull in a small yard who had apparently never seen an old man on an old school bike before.
On my way out, he just stood there as cows tend to do and watched me pedal away.
On my way back, however, he must have wanted a better look cuz he started walking toward the road and me.
This is kinda fun, I thought….
and then he musta decided he didn’t like my red bike cuz he started picking up speed and I suddenly felt like a
Luckily he was a dumb cow cuz the only thing that separated us was a single ribbon of electric fence that was about chest high. If he had thought about lowering his head to slip under the fence I woulda been knocked into next week
As it was it turned out to be something to laugh about and tell the wife it was a good thing she didn’t come along
funny mental image tho…so I thought I’d share
not my pic…just something I found online
