I was hiking in eastern washington with my daughter when she asked what a rattlesnake sounds like. I told her its just like when her mon says "I don't care, just do it your way." She nodded and didn't say a word.

My daughter was born in Wenatchee during one of our droughts.
She was a almost two before she saw it rain.
We were waiting for the shuttle at SeaTac for the flight to Hawaii and she pointed to the sky and asked "what is that"?
I was confused and asked her "what are you looking at?"
The reply was "that falling from the sky".
I told her it was rain, "God made it for people without irrigation systems."
She did enjoy the warm rains in Hawaii.
