Heads up that I pruned a few of the comments on this thread.
I understand that there are strong feelings out there these days. Particularly on the subject of what America was/is/should-be. And I don't blame anyone who has them.
But as has been noted by many, PNWFF isn't the place to debate that sort of stuff (with the narrow exception of conservation/fish/wildlife related issues). Please, please, let this be a place apart from the angry shouting discourse that has infested the rest of society.
If you enjoy fishing and you aren't an asshole*, you are welcome here. Red/blue, donkey/elephant, religious affiliation, gender identity, sexual orientation, vegan/carnivore, choice of sports team, etc.... Absolutely none of it matters on PNWFF. Be who you are. Just leave the culture wars at the door.
*While we don't like assholes, we do accept crotchety old coots. As long as they can keep themselves mostly on topic and remember when it's their turn to bring a six pack to share at tying night.
