Just the Merlin ID pic but we may have just hit the 100 species mark in our home list.

Hope to get a visual confirmation, or at least a 2nd audio ID on a Northern Yellow Warbler. Didn't know this canary look-alike even existed!



What a beautiful bird. Merlin says it's a common warbler. News to me. Anyone see these.

Yes, they are later arrivals than the yellow-rumped or common yellowthroat warblers. The males are VERY vocal in the trees in late spring / early summer. They can be elusive but if you are patient, you will find a bird singing on a branch in the open.

Busy Merlin morning. 23 birds, with possibly another new. Black Phoebe shows as "unlikely" around here but habitat seems right, so maybe?

Black phoebes have been expanding their range north. There are several at Ridgefield NWR, not far from your house. And your bankside location would be a prime ambush spot for bugs hatching in the river or traveling along the river corridor.
