I gotta admit the thing looks like it'd be a helluva ride on a 10-wieght fly rod. It is indeed a cyprinid. This is an AP story; I just found a site that appeared to have no paywall (for me).

I hope they do too...but since all of the dams that have been built on this river, not only have fish species been imperiled, entire groups of indigenous people have as well.
