Gary LaFontaine graphite stealth fly rods

Freshly Spawned
I saw an old thread that mentioned Fly Fishers fly shop was an exclusive dealer for these rods, but has since closed. I acquired the 9’ for #6 and it is a casting machine. The blank is very similar to a Kilwell rod I have from New Zealand. Does anyone know anything about these rods, country of origin, etc. Thanks.

I know I have a 5-wt., purchased at the Fly Fisher a couple years back, that I like a lot. Can throw heavy stuff when needed, but presents dries nicely as well. Smooooth! Came with an extra tip, which was a big plus, because Bjorn told me when I bought it that they are no longer being made.

Didn't ask where it was manufactured, so I don't know. It cost less than $500, so I'm guessing it was probably China.

I have two 9 ft. 6 wt. Stealth rods which I bought from Bjorn many years ago. They are a medium/fast action rod that is easy to feel loaded after two false casts. It will cast light/bulky top water patterns a long ways. The Stealth 6 wt. rod is the best casting rod which I have or had by far. It is probably hard to find used ones.
