Not all of them at for the future. I’m heading out tomorrow for a Thursday albacore trip so I have 3 rods packed in the van.
Ok, ok. You get to get 9 more rods, not 12.Not all of them at for the future. I’m heading out tomorrow for a Thursday albacore trip so I have 3 rods packed in the van.
That's almost identical to what I've got going on.I approached it a little differently.

its also a lot harder for the misses (or mr) to count your rods this way as well.I'm concerned that Bagman is trying to make some of us less conscientious types look bad. Some of us grew up intuitively knowing that leaning rods is what corners of rooms and garages are for. Plus, there is no upper limit to the number of rods that can be stored this way.
But, with his current approach he could say he's missing 12 rods....I mean, there are 12 empty slots, so intuitively he's 12 short of a 'full set'.its also a lot harder for the misses (or mr) to count your rods this way as well.
I can see another issue rising in the near future. I give Bagman kudos for planning ahead with the 12 empty slots but that only gives him enough expansion room for one possibly two seasons. I am thinking he better purchase a second rod rack from the same company before they discontinue the model. It also guarantees color match. But, with his current approach he could say he's missing 12 rods....I mean, there are 12 empty slots, so intuitively he's 12 short of a 'full set'.
