And no cutthroat trout in cool, beautiful mountain rivers.Yeah, but it's Florida, ohhhhh the heat- and how are the homeowner's insurance (if you can get it) and HOA/condo fees? Lots of tradeoffs.
cheers

But the price you pay is having to live in Florida. Been there, done that, no thanks. Seeing Florida with the environmental devastation and political corruption in my rear view mirror made for a very happy day.I now live in Florida but grew up in eastern Washington and lived in Seattle from the late β90βs to mid 20β teens. Here in Florida I am over 65 years old and can fish for free, in marine, estuarine and freshwater. We have no State income tax, gas is about $3.00/gal, property taxes arenβt near Washingtonβs. I do need extra tags for a few fish but since I catch and release I donβt really need them. Just thought Iβd throw that out there.
Not sure what resident housing costs, insurance, etc are now, we sold our home two years ago. Costs prior to that were nothing like Seattleβs high costs.
Yep, and thereβs nothing better than shoveling snow and walking on ice covered walkways especially at my age. BTW, I lived in an upscale community just north of here on Amelia Island. Our house was 3,500 sq ft, five BR, 4 bath and ourHOA fees were less than $300/ YEAR!Yeah, but it's Florida, ohhhhh the heat- and how are the homeowner's insurance (if you can get it) and HOA/condo fees?
