Sorta fishing-related

Life of the Party
I mean, if capturing photos and videos are important to someone, I guess I could see it.

But I suspect most of us here want to get away from the tech world when fishing.
I could see for a certain person they might increase time on the water since they could potentially take work or other calls while they're actually fishing. That's probably not me, but I'd rather go fish and have some techy glasses on than stay home by the phone and/or laptop.

Every time I take pictures while fighting or netting a fish it totally detracts from the moment, even when I use a baseball cap bill mounted GoPro controlled by a 'wristwatch remote'.

I can't imagine how much worse it would be if I had to create some bullshit 'content'.

pictures and videos are fine, but just a few now and then is more than adequate for me. The real gold-mine/treasure-trove is the memories; silver flashes, noisy and nervous water, the electric pulse of a good grab and the scream of a click-n-pawl reel. They inhabit the space between awake and sleep, and sometimes pop into the forefront of my thoughts when I should be concentrating on other things.

I really don't need any more photos of 10-12" rainbows or cutties, but I guess sometimes I want to record that I actually did catch something, because I mostly take OMJ photos of rocks, trees, water.

I guess I’m the same way. I came back from three days on the deschutes and only a couple of pictures of some cool clouds as documentation.

I always insert the greatest tech-related solutions into my demands. I made demands of supreme tech solutions!!

I'm more or less solidly in the fish to decompress and enjoy nature camp. Take a pic or two at most and that's it. So it's strange to me to see someone doing this

Though if Abby is with me, I'll burn up the camera on the phone because kiddo deserves it. There's been enough sadness and loss in her life, I'd like to bring more light to it.

What’s with the vertical video? Questions about in-your-face-tech use while fishing aside, that’s a dealbreaker for me.

No idea why it's vertical. I've notice it's predominantly iPhone video that this happens with.

Dabbled with wearable computers as part of my job when we first started the program I recently retired from. Having a monacle in your face while trying to actually do something was majorly distracting. We finally told the engineering and adaptability guys to shelve it. Can't see as this is much different.
