I've been meaning to post this little report from the end of June. I had a field week in Northern Nevada in an area that blew my mind in how beautiful it was. I don't think a lot of people get to see these mountains and they're not typically what one might expect when they think of Nevada. The logging roads in this area can take you up to some spectacular views and thankfully back in June there wasnt much wildfire smoke.
There were some patches of snow that wouldve been fun to ski/snowboard.
The wildlife in this neck of the woods was fairly abundant and I saw some antelope, owls, falcons, grouse, and a shit ton of mormon crickets.

Ante's

This log made for a tight squeeze and it was covered in mormon crickets.

boot ski

sunset over the rubys

didnt get to fish this stretch of river but it looks inviting.
After I had finished up my work for the week I hit a strech of river that I had driven by once or twice. Turns out it holds some big ol fish.

These boys were thick.

Ended the week at the Reno Rodeo. (Not pictured: bulls after dark)
