Due to operator error, I managed to break off the top few inches of one of my Sage Salt 12wts. during last fall's albacore season. I procrastinated on sending it to Sage for repair until June 11th. But it arrived fixed today, less than a month. The cost of the repair was $95. Of course, your mileage may vary...

Not bad.
I might’ve just rolled with the 8’9” rod and a new tip top!

They were super fast with two repairs of mine earlier this year. Even allowed me to pickup in person since I live right down the road. With their lobby unstaffed, they are not as convenient as pre-Covid when you could show up whenever to drop and pickup. Return times seem to be back to normal though.

I am glad to hear these stories, I've never been a Sage fan or customer but I appreciate the company. They've been taking a beating lately for their repair prices and extended repair times.

When your on top there is always haters. It’s always been like that. I must admit Sage, who I loved, has slipped. They were great from the beginning of their company til what 2015?
Not sure they are that great now. But times change. People change. Companies change or get bought out. Suits always looking for the dollar but not the true and real value of the product they make. Impatience creeps in how to get more $$&now. Instead of letting it come in naturally. Be nice if a name brand didn't change. But even Coke tried it. Ufdah! RPL/XP/ZAxis glory forever until it breaks 😞

Meanwhile I recommend you venture to explore other options out there. Just an opinion. TFO and Echo seem to be doing some things right. At better price poi ts. Lots of choices.

Lots or respect to Galvan. Think their torque has been 20 years now. Impressive. And a helluva a reel still today. IMHO.
