SFR Eruption of Mt. Adams

Sorta fishing-related
Entertaining?

In 2018:

716 homes destroyed
3000 displaced
250 million in damages
Over 25 million in Farms losses.
Over 400 million of tourists dollar gone.

At least you are entertained.
Not to mention decades of respiratory and eye issues from persistent vog…

It wasn’t meant to make light of the devastation an active volcano can incur…like many long time residents, we have learned to live with it
I deleted my post.

It was in bad form .

Sorry Brute.
No worries brah...I actually know people who built on cheap land in a historic lava flow zone knowing full well they could lose their home...and did.

Volcanos are truly an amazing force of nature...

If a St Helens type eruption were to take place, I would be nervous about living in Trout Lake. The amount of sand that came out of St. H. might make Bonneville dam a sediment fixture.

For those of us that lived through Mount St. Helens eruptions in the 1980's, I would not wish that upon anyone regarding Mt. Adams or any other volcanic mountain in the PACNW.

Lets hope it is just passing some gas and releasing energy so an explosive event does not occur..

Maybe it's about to start spouting fracking water. The geologists aren't concerned yet. There was a lot more going on in 1980.
