Electric Socks for fishing....

...Does anyone use them? Any specific things to look for or specific recommendations?

I'm thinking more along the lines of lake stuff in really cold water (like the 41 degrees that Merwin was today). I've gotta be able to last longer to take full advantage of potential feeding windows.

Cheers!

Do electric socks create electric shocks???

Legit question...I have no idea how they're constructed. I'd assume waterproof simply to protect from sweat.

My hunting partner uses the ActionHeat heated insoles and he loves them. They are remote controlled so you can use them as needed and at varying intensity. I wish I had a personal testimony but I don’t...sorry😀
No problem! I'll take a peak at those. It's really just the toes/feet that are the issue. I can go about 2.5hrs in such conditions. I need to get that to 5 so I don't miss any potentially narrow feeding window.

A little more expensive........pram!
Can I throw that on top of my little Prius? 😆

In seriousness, I'm looking for this as a solution to fish longer out of my Commander in super cold water.

These do look legit. There’s a couple versions of them on their website…

I feel for you clarkman.......some of my fishing buddies don’t have prams and I constantly hear....”damn, I can’t feel my feet!” (In their pontoon boats) The older I get..... the colder I get!
A huge part of it is that I like to have the ease of micro adjusting while actively fishing. I feel that in a small craft that I fish out of just makes feel a little more connected to the entire experience along with being slightly more efficient (probably not as important in trout fishing but IMHO, pretty important for those one shot type fish, like muskies.

I definitely prefer fishing in my 6’ Extreme Sports pontoon boat over the pram. I’ve had this pontoon boat over 30 years now. It folds up to where the seat is the frame, weighs about 12 lbs, adjustable back rest, the best small pontoon made in my opinion. I carry three rods in it and my pram. I’ve taken it out in the sound pink fishing....get towed around is a blast! Plus I only use Force fins, not oars.....but each pink season I have to remember my old legs are two years older!

Switched to boot-foot waders for my winter excursions a few years ago. Helps tremendously with the cold feet problem, and easy to put a pair of footwarmers in them, though without oxygen, they don't last too long.

Costco had some this winter. Wool and an expensive brand (https://fieldsheer.com/collections/...-heated-socks-men?_pos=1&_sid=9959a4554&_ss=r)
I bought 2 pair. Second pair just to be able to have a second set of batteries when they went on sale. The batteries are so expensive that buying the second pair of sale socks was the cheapest way to get the second set of batteries.
The lake I’ve been fishing this winter was 36 for a long while.
I took the socks back. The blue tooth was glitchy and my feet were cold before the second hour.
I have some old dry pants that have just material socks not neoprene. I’ve been wearing my high muck boots with these and it’s much better. In my boat I can fin without going over the boots. I’d love to have the new $850 Orvis boot foots but really, that’s kinda too rich for me. I just found some neoprene boot foot hunting pants on Amazon pretty cheap. Got a size larger than normal also some cheap Amazon electric socks with larger battery capacity. My plan is to hopefully fit my neoprene wading socks with the new boot foot pants. If still cold I’ll try the electric socks as well.
I’m on a mission!
