I've always been too chicken for heated socks, because if I have a leak anywhere in the waders it ends up in my feet. However, I have started slipping electric warmers in my sweats pocket and have found it to be game changing. My feet, even if wet, dont get cold. Theory is putting a warmth resevoir in the legs keeps the blood flowing to the toes instead of shutting down to conserve core heat. I ripped a really neato hole in the back of my right knee early Saturday morning and had standing water in my boot the rest of the day. Aside from the squishiness I never noticed it.

They also keep you hands warm if you tuck them against your forearms, same principle.

Nor mentioned it. Slippery embankment or log jam crossing?

The latter. Got lazy and decided i could straddle the last log, there was a downward facing broken limb and I found it with the back of my knee. I heard it tear lol. But I couldnt identify it on account of being totally covered in mud from the embankment.

I was really on some shit that morning 🀣🀣🀣
