Don Armeni Boat Launch Lockdown

Per westseattleblog, Seattle Parks Department will be locking the entrance to the (nice new!) boat launch until 6AM to reduce overnight criminal and antisocial activity. They apparently figure that having people make the run from Redondo or Golden Gardens ain’t no big deal.

Can people who bought annual passes for the launch get a pro-rated refund?

lol I wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm really not.

not surprised either. old timers (like me!) know how to jump the curb to get to the launch.
unless they install barricades to either side of the entry or exit gates.
the bay opens up in 2 weeks for one weekend of fishing. its gonna be a zoo

revisiting this to see if there are any updates that people can share.
I just emailed the West Seattle blog and asked them the same question.
if nothing is adjusted for this weekend, I think the area is going to be a mess and short tempers will be coming out.
