Deals at online Retailers

I have no first hand experience with Simms. I have read many posts bemoaning their drop in quality and warranty after being sold to Vista Outdoor then subsequent purchase by Strategic Value Partners. Maybe that's not the case?

Waders arrived yesterday.
Only surprise was the purchase was through DICK'S but shipping was directly from SIMMS. Even the accompanying paperwork made it appear the purchase was directly from SIMMS.

I wanna echo thanks for the heads up. My first pair of zipper waders arrived yesterday. They appeared to come from Dick’s in NY.

I intend to use them as backups or to help lengthen the life of my current Pataguccis that have been rather good to me. I am gonna miss the integrated knee pads in those; the SIMMs Freestones don’t have that feature. I find myself kneeling on rocks in my waders and my old bony knees like those pads.
 
My only complaint was that there was no choice between the 9-11 or 12-13 bootie size. I got the 12-13 and I wear a 10.5. Should still work though.

I didn’t notice that. Luckily it’s what I would’ve ordered! Yeah I think you’ll be alright.
When do SIMMS ever go on sale in common sizes half off?

Not at 1/2 price, but I was in Pacific Flyfishers in Mill Creek yesterday and they had some pretty good discounts on SIMMs waders and boots. They will ship too.

Even though I really don't need them, I got both an 11wt and 12wt Superfo Max Ridge 2.0 Flats Universal Floating 9ft Clear Tip Saltwater WF for $98 total. Whew!

I have been looking for 12wt intermediate lines but no luck. I have a couple 12 floaters and some fast sinkers but nothing in between.

Fishpond packs look great but I picked up a Dryft pack so I gotta hold off.

Interesting! Anyone ever tried that line, wondering how it’d do for chucking marlin flies. 43’ head is much longer than an OBS or leviathan.
