STP has a lot of solid, cheap trout patterns by the dozen if you want to fill out your boxes. For example the yellowstoner chubby by MFC is a great fly and you can get a dozen for $10. I got my order last week and everything is tip top.

Madison River Fishing Company is currently offering 20% off of flies.

Lots of fishing sites are having Fathers Day sales.

For example:

Firehole barbless hooks at $3 off per package. 36 hooks (not 25) per package...

Edge has many rods at a decent discount as well. I have the 5wt NFC FAF & the 2wt 11' euro rod built by Edge on that same blank. Super solid rods for a super solid price.
Clarkman how do you like the 2wt 11’ euro?? I just picked up a 11’ 3wt I plan to build into a trout spey rod.

I love it. It's also pretty versatile. I've cast anything from a mono rig to a 6wt dry line and works great with all.

Click on the link in my notice.. On the top they announce Gary's birthday sale. Click it. Find fly rods. Scroll down to $83 blanks.
Ya, something is goofy. I'd call them, as elsewhere on there site it states that anything over $75 ships free. I ordered one last week for $82 and got free shipping..

Can anyone share their experiences with the LMX FAF blank? I'm thinking of building a 4wt or a 5wt for trout fishing. Most likely casting 8-16 size flies, with all types of methods (dries, indicator weight, and occasional streamer). My casting is not perfect, and I rely on feeling the rod load. The images of the rod bend look pretty flexible at the tip and stiff at the butt. So are the blanks "fast" or "super fast"?

LMX FAF904-4 – Northfork Composites

Thanks!

Found the blanks and I see the free shipping but it's not working for me. I'll call. Thanks.

I have the 5wt. While I wouldn't classify it as super fast, it's pretty fast...more of a tip flex with a 5wt line. I fish it more like a 6wt , which is what it feels like. From the sounds of what you're looking for, the 4wt (or even 3wt) might be more appropriate. Regardless, they're fantastic blanks.

that is interesting sale, we have not been able to restock very many of there hooks. Wondering if they are just giving up. On Firehole B2B most of them are out of stock!

This is a good one worth mentioning! Once inventory hits certain threshold the price will adjust.
