Edge rods 40% off on July 4th using code JULY40

You too can get that "this is a Gary Loomis" feeling! I am kind of tempted to order one but I'm also still waiting for the blank I ordered three weeks ago.

After our previous conversation I feel obliged,

(maybe give them a ring to make sure the rod you want is instock).

Solid deal. One ❤️

Maybe it'll be a race between the Edge shipping and the NFC shipping + my build time.
Lol. Usually it hasn't been too bad either way for me, but I did order a 10wt Edge Archetype (that lmx blank is actually a really sweet blank.) ~3 weeks ago, so we'll see how long that takes...so far, longer than any other time I've ordered.

But then how long is @PhilR going to take to build it for you ;)

I've purchased two of these rods, a 7wt Spey and a 7 wt single hander. The spey rod took about 4 months to be delivered and the single hander took about 7 months. Both have rod socks but no tubes, although Edge has promised to send the tubes some day. I'm not a great spey caster, but I can fire that spey rod a mile. Although it's rated as a 7 wt, it feels more like my older 8 wt rods, in terms of grain window (Sage brownie and greenie), though faster. Workmanship on the wraps is not great, but the blank sure does the job.

I haven't yet fished the single hander since it just arrived. Quality of the wraps looks better, and the rod feels good when lawn casting. I'll get out and fish with it and then write up a review of both rods.

wow, those are some garbage shipping times.

Yeah, don't order a rod if you need it for an upcoming trip. Everyone that I communicated with at Edge was very nice, but they are super back-ordered. Fly rods seem to be an afterthought. Focus is on the gear fishing crew.

Yeah, this is the first time it's taking longer than 3 weeks. Then again, reading many reviews where that was the primary issue, I went into it with my eyes wide open. They're excellent rods at an outstanding price....I'm totally OK with waiting a little bit.

Anybody know about the Lamiglas X11 series. There is a 906 on sale for $25 at Bi-Mart? Like I need another 9' 6wt, but............

I’ve been using their $100 x11 spinning rods for coho. Rods have been fine except for the reel seat. Couldn’t find this sale online. Send a link.

I can't find it on their site or flyer, must be instore only. My bad. Thanks for your reply though, the real seat did look inexpensive.

From what I know the X11 usually retails in mid to upper 100’s for the four piece. Unaware of a 2 piece. It’s been out for a while. Advertised as a medium fast action. Last one I saw was a grey blank with black and slight lime green detail in thread wrap work.
