Deals at online Retailers

The Type 3 Cortland Compact in 6/7 is my current preferred Puget Sound line out of the boat and a great deal at $60.
There’s some good stuff in there, like a 200 grain 15 foot type 6 sink tip line.
I just ordered a cortland 185 grain 15 foot type 6 sink tip line from Avid yesterday. 🤣 oh well, support your local fly shop!!

Well I guess being “from earth” does put Avid as a local fly shop. 🙃

I really like some of the cortland tapers. A plethora of compact head offerings that would seem to be nice substitutions for a Rio OBS.

Peaches and Cream at 9 am this morning.
Was kinda hoping to see the peach on sale again this year. This had my interest in a WF6 for my Leonard 66 and my Steffen, but I only see 5 and 7 right now..

I was hoping to see the full sink #5 with the hang markers but saw only 7/8.
I did pick up a 300 gr switch integrated for my new trout spey obsession.

Edge fly rods currently has a nice sale going on. I just bought the Archetype euro rod (same blanks as the NFC LMX) and already have the 9' 5wt which, for a graphite rod, I really like.

Probably how much your redington would have cost to get repaired

Hey Randy et al,

I just bought the Archetype 908 for $205 with federal tax and free shipping to Oregon. They say 3-5 weeks for delivery.

Cheers

If it's already in stock, it's sooner. I ordered mine on Sunday and had it in hand by Wednesday.

What are they used for?
Large streamers that don't fit nicely in boxes--especially ones that go in the salt. A fly box tends to trap moisture, large flies trap a lot of water, and especially with salt your hooks if put away wet--even temporarily--will tend to die rapidly. Even in freshwater, I've had natural materials rapidly disintegrate. These are open on the end so air flows through and dries your flies quickly.

Like the leather spey wallets people often use, but not leather and so potentially more durable/less maintenance.

Just picked one up! I used a type 6 once from a boat that I really liked so hoping this type 3 will be similar.
