SFR Cooler advice

I use an Igloo or Coleman for car camping. My “secret” is to make my own ice with a small tub. For drift boat float trips on the Deschutes, I made a cooler with closed-cell foam sheets that are an inch and a half in thickness. A large block ice made in a container that is just the right size for the cooler fits in the middle and generally will last for 5 days. All of the food that can be frozen is put in first and drinks are added as space becomes available. Been using this method for years. A key element for both the portable cooler and the boat is to make sure that the melting ice water drains continuously in the boat and frequently in the car cooler.
the large igloo with solid ice, will do fine, with $ to spare for other camping stuff. you can buy a 12v fridge /freezer to keep ice frozen, but they cost a few hundred.

I have one of those big Costco coolers with the wheels and extended handle I would make a you a heck of a deal on. I used it to ship out to the islands for work. I can bring it to the swap and shop. If you're interested let me know. When I get out and about in a bit I'll measure it and photo it.

Heck if he doesn't I may. I have one of those and we use it a LOT.
Are you having it processed in Idaho? Will there be a chance the meat will be frozen or are doing everything when you get home? Because I know when we go to Montana and get something earlier in the week we are able to get it processed and frozen and the cheap shitty plastic Coleman 150qt + a smaller one seem to do the job for us! But that is if they are frozen. If I haul meat that isn't frozen, but chilled I do have a Canyon that works wonders!
Can't stickers make it cool? An example, my stripping basket, just like my trapper keepers, got way cooler with stickers.What I've been telling him to get but it's apparently not hip enough

Ended up getting an igloo 150 marine to start. Still pondering more expensive options for the second cooler.
