College Football 2024

Entertaining game. Nice win by the Cougs.
Way too many penalties and mistakes by the Huskies. Very odd final play call.

Huskies were super undisciplined.
Jed the Fish did not have his team playing well.
That, or they're not very good.
Coogs missed on 2 redzone trips with zero points.
Convert those and its close to a romp.

Go Coogs !!!
Beating up on Big 10 teams

Yeah, I was wondering about that...didn't seem like it was well thought, their coaches did not help the Huskies today.

Option run to the short side of the field…maybe with Lamar Jackson at qb…don’t think that was the best possible play available

That play reminded me of Jake Browning running the option against Auburn. Nothing good came of either play. 😂
Neither player should have been running the option.

Yeah...
I figured they would go 5 wides and throw an underneath crossing route in all the confusion down there in short space...
Glad they made the option call, as it was a bonehead move for sure.
;)

It's a done deal now.

They will need to be an Eight Pack to remain a viable conference…

It could happen🤞

Go Cougs!

I think 2 teams will find it attractive enough to join.

I agree…and they may also come from the Mountain West, which would put them under the 8 team requirement…

Wondered about that... seemes like if they wanted more MW teams they could have had them... a reconstituted Pac 8 looks to have 10 mil per team payouts from what I am seeing, MW teams are like 6 if I remember.
Maybe there was no appetite for another conference collapse event on either side.

We discovered in the 4th quarter that we actually have a Peacock account. Mrs. Salmo got it as a Comcast freebee in 2021. Never used it so didn't know it. She was able to use the "forgot password" feature and revive the account. Now I wonder if there will be another game or anything we want to watch before we again forget we even have Peacock. Shit! Why does TV have to be so complicated?

From the looks of this game, the Huskies are in for some rough times in the Big 10.

Well the small dogs certainly did not play well today, but its hard to say if they are a lousy team or not, can say it's good they lost.
Thought they were undisciplined, poorly coached at points, and maybe just not up for the game.

Thanks! Me too, I had set up a free Peacock account under Comcast years ago, and forgot about it. I saw the $8 monthly with ads and $14 "Premium" cost, and decided to just listen on the Coug's radio network, which was really good, "enthusiastic" coverage. Then right after the game I watched one of two highlights videos that were already on YT.

After reading your post, I discovered I can log in on my phone under the grandfathered freebie account by using a password I saved in Chrome. Then got right into the Comcast app on my TV. But next week, Cougs are on the free CW TV Comcast channel. I think U-duhb is back on B1G pay TV.
