Big fan of affogato, normally straight vanilla or chocolate ice-cream. Punching way above weight is QFC's Private Select house brand of ice creams. QFC's chocolate ganache scooped into some piping hot coffee is outstanding and far exceeds any mocha slop (particularly anything anchored with hershey or ghiridelli chocolate syrup. They might as well be bile fluids in comparison to the Private select).

QFC Private Select Country Vanilla is top notch also, it's almost a straight up coffee custard flavor.

A surprisingly good flavor combo that's melting into my Coffee this PM is Tillamook Dark Cherry. Wasn't expecting it would work great but it hits well and when they say "notes of cherry" well f-yeah! Obviously! It plays a little more acidic, but still sweet as.....

Man, Boot, what are you doing to me? Or more correctly my BMI? I’d never had an affogato before in my life and now I’ve had 2 in 2 days. I should be saving those calories for alcohol!
You are right about the QFC PS ice cream, too. At least the “double vanilla” flavor with (or without) espresso—MWAH

Matt, I wouldn't worry about the ice cream according to The Atlantic, the finest nutrition journal there is, Ice Cream has never been shown to be bad for you

The Alcohol on the other hand, terrible, terrible, bad. But then again, for discussion sake, should we wish to expand the coffee thread and welcome all habitual drunkards comers....there's this thing called Irish Coffee.... and I am curious, what's the best pairing? seems to me the coffee makes the whiskey taste like crap and vice versa.....

Best with Powers, and a generous amount of lightly whipped cream, and brown sugar.
Make with actual real stuff, not that processed American garbage.

I think whiskey in coffee is f*cking gross but more important is, What does the Atlantic, finest nutrition journal and all, think about health effects of alkyhol consumption?
They point out that alcohol-health effect conclusions are frequently based on observational rather than randomized studies, that confounding variables related to social factors aren’t controlled for or addressed, and that the role of pleasure is ignored or discounted.
When I die, it won’t be from a lack of bitchin’ coffee or martinis.
