Chum From a Canoe - Miami Cove (Tillamook Bay)?

I have seen a few photos of the Drano spectacle and while Tillamook Bay can get busy during fall chinook season, it doesn't get Drano busy. Maybe that's because it's so much bigger with many places to spread out. There are 5 main salmon bearing rivers that enter Tillamook Bay. The Tillamook, Trask, Wilson, Kilchis and Miami. There is an arm of the bay (called the upper bay) where three of the rivers enter and that tends to concentrate folks. The lower bay also has areas that can get busy - especially the "Jaws" which is the long narrow section between the jetties. The last few years have seen dwindling returns and the current bag limit for wild chinook is one per day, five per season (last year the season limit was 2).

They are 2 bodies of water with fish to be caught in them....that's the similarity.

@CanoeGuy wondering if you've ventured out yet. Last Sat seemed like it would have been a good day to be out there given the lack of any wind. I fished the mouth of one of the aforementioned rivers and picked up several small SRCs and there were a few salmon rolling (not many, but a few).
