Jewelweed, aka Impatiens ecornuta
Native annual
Rub the leaves on Poison Ivy for relief from the itching.
😉

You can touch it
The 'touch me not' common name is used for impatiens generally....the seed pods eject the seeds when touched

Wow, thanks. Just started down the rabbit hole of herbal remedies. Been using nettle tea for a while now as an anti-inflammatory. Not quite ibuprofen, but definitely helps.

There's plenty more growing in a soggy spot but not whacking through devil's club to pick some.

It' grows in wet spots, and as an annual, self seeding keeps it coming back in spots it likes.

There's an invasive variety, Impatiens capensis that is a listed invasive weed in Washington. The two species can hybridize, and I'm not a real expert on the various varieties here, but I do like the native...

"In the State of Washington, I. capensis is considered a class-C noxious weed due to its rapid spread and tendency to outcompete native jewelweeds.[13] It has also formed a hybrid species with the native jewelweed Impatiens ecornuta."

As you can see, they look similar
