Was this fish suspended? Or? My experience with "suspender caprs" is they rarely react to a fly (but........). If you ever see him nose down rooting, go for it or if you're REALLY lucky, and he's clooping the schmoots - go for it.They seem distinctly uninterested in my flies so far. They cruise around, sometimes in groups of three or four. This one was in very shallow water, maybe eating algae off the concrete bulkhead, and cruised lazily into deeper water when he saw me walk out on the dock. I believe they are grass carp.
