Google showed a small patch of water 1.2 miles beyond a gate on DNR land so this morning I drove out, parked at the gate and started up the road.

This is the sort of place Enos Bradner would write about so in his honor I fished carrot nymphs and dandy green nymphs off my 7'6" Phillipson bamboo fly rod.

At the head of the pond right next to a stump I hooked a well-conditioned foot-long cutthroat.

It was in good shape with broad shoulders.

Only one fish but it was great to discover another cascade foothills pond. I'll be back.
