I caught my first carp in May of 2004; this will be my 23rd season of chasing the world’s greatest sportfish. They have grown on me more and more. On January 29, 2014 I got my first and only tattoo. I had a carp inked on my right calf. Today is my tattoo’s 12th birthday! I have shown my tattoo to several carp and they always say that my tattoo reminds them of carp they know. It’s a good thing. I regularly talk to the carp I catch. I thank them for taking my fly and tell them I appreciate them and their fat friends.Carp commentng on tattoo.jpgMe talking to a carp.jpg
 
Despite having most my arms covered entirely, I haven't gotten a new tattoo in over 20yrs (I'm in my 40s). I really should collect me a few fish. Carp, albacore and coho should top that list

I'm right there....in needing some fish art...

I'm currently thinking Musky, Roosterfish, and maybe capr...maybe throw in a Pargo just cause. Already got a salmonid on my calf.

Almost got a traditional leg tattoo in Yap 30 plus years ago...it is inked with local berries and applied with a sea bird bone...but I did not have quite enough local fermented coconut juice in me, so it didn't happen...
