I spend a lot of time in Sunriver and really enjoy the lakes down there in Sept-Oct. I've learned those trout like a black foam beetle dry, and although the callibaetis hatches are slowing by then after being the major hatch July - August, they'll often still take a callibaetis emerger well through September and into early October. I fish the emerger as a dropper off the beetle and have found the fish switch preferences over a half hour or hour's time, for reasons only they know. The lakes down there are fun to fish, IMO, and very beautiful. The area has some moving water options too for a nice variety. When you're in the area give me a shout sometime and if I'm hanging out down there I'd be happy to wet a line together. I won't promise 4# fish, but the odds are not bad we'd tie into a couple or a few. Tight lines, Ron
