Baseball 2025

Jays are doing what they did best: walks, HBP, keep ball in play, load bases and get timely hits.

Sound familiar? It should...

I really have no dog in this hunt as my chosen favorite is no longer playing but I will never be a fan of a club that is the finest team that money can buy.

What's up with the goofy arm motions the Dodgers players always make to their dugout every time they get a hit, steal a base, or successfully scratch their asses? Man, that's annoying.

Would love to see Ohtani play for a team outside of Southern California, but at his salary, the only other options are New York and Boston, which wouldn't be any better.

With neither the Mariners or Red Sox (hometown team) in it, I don't have a hard rooting interest in the World Series, well maybe a slight LA bias due to listening to the incomparable Vince Scully ("Farmer John sausages"...) in gradual school at U.C.S.B. while writing my Ph.D. thesis. But I sincerely hope that the series goes the full 7 games. Very exciting baseball full of twists and turns.

Fun game.
hoping for 20 innings.

Apparently the pundits predictions that last night's 18 inning loss would take a major toll on the Blue Jays was somewhat premature.

Pundits, Baah!! per the great Luis Tiant, "if you're talking baseball, you don't know nothing"

Go Royals

When Dodger manager Dave Roberts bullpen is successful he looks like a genius , when it fails he looks like an idiot. But let's be clear-he has made some truly idiotic decisions!

I miss Kenny weekly.... he was the best.
I miss him too...he was the best!

I had the pleasure of meeting him in back in 2001. He was just as witty in person, but he was also incredibly kind and gracious with his time. He did a get-well video gram for my father in-law who was in the hospital at the time. It was totally impromptu. I happened to have a video camera on me at the time. I asked him if he would do it and he didn't bat an eye. True to form he ended the well wishes with, "I hope the nurses touch you in a special place". It was hilarious and my father-n-law loved it.
