Just checked and the least expensive ticket available for Wednesday is $387. That times 47000 is almost 18M. Gotta figure that total ticket sales is going to approach 30M or more. Not a bad day to be an MLB owner. No wonder they want to be a contender in October.

What's wild is that the face value prices have been in a lot of cases higher than the resale market. We got 300 level for Thursday for around $280 yesterday, which had face value of over $350. During ALDS, resale tickets dropped to around $150 for 300 level hours before the game, which were face value of $260ish.

However, I believe face value was significantly lower for season ticket holders, so a majority of those tickets are probably not being sold at a loss.

Check out WS prices though.....my buddy and I said screw it and bought some face value 300 level tickets for a potential Game 5. Those tickets are selling for nearly $2k on secondary market currently. Face value wasn't cheap either
