With all the offense, home runs and timely hits it's only proper that it came down to an incredible defensive play. They are a tough team to play against right now. Seems like each night somebody different is stepping up.
 
M's on ESPN today. The Tigers lose again soon an opportunity to further cement the playoff bye, home field advantage and perhaps put the Astros out of their misery. How sweet that would be.

A month ago nobody could even perceive this could be in the realm of possibility of happening. I still do not...

I am joyous with the fact they have a great chance to play in October.

Houston out of the playoffs would make it so much better. 8 years in a row is more than enough.

The way he is going, Cal could make a run at the non-juiced home run record. Just ran amazing season for him, when you consider the position he plays, it is up there with some of the greatest seasons ever.

The announcers tonight sure do babble alot.
 
Okay gotta ask. Who would have guessed the Mariners would be tied with the Astros for first place after 153 games? And then go to Houston and win three straight with the division championship on the line. I surmise that only Dimebrite and Porter2 saw that performance coming. I certainly didn't.

Big series for Cleveland starts today. M's magic number is 3; Rockies s/b a layup but you never know then it's on to LA -- almost never a layup in Sep.
